More Junie Browning, Please

Junie Browning is the most hilarious thing that has ever happened to TUF in it's history. Not only does he tell it like it is, he also tells it like his alcohol drowned brain sees it. I love it that he wants to fight everyone and his mother, also.

The emotional roller coaster that is Junie Browning makes this season worth watching. I can't wait until it's his week to fight. Think of the possibilities.

Junie eats, sleeps, trains, drinks and pisses excellence. How can a man like that be beaten? He can't I tell you! I don't care if Dana White thinks he's a retard. He isn't one of those softy guys.

In all seriousness, dude cries more than my seven year old daughter. Take it down about ten thousand feet Junie. The air is pretty thin up there, retard.

UFC Fight Night in Omaha, NE quick review.

A bit overdue but my quick thoughts on the event.

First, it was a great turnout and the audience seemed very well versed on MMA. The only problem I had was the ooohs and ahhhs every time a fighter would be taken down. Even when it was a light, accidental tripping take down the crowd went wild. For some reason it means something to the judges I guess but I still don't get excited every time the fight hits the mat.

Houston Alexander needs to change camps if he want to be a legit contender in the UFC. His lack of a ground game and the fact that he is one dimensional is becoming more obvious with each fight. Someone needs to take away his boxing gloves and make him hit the mat for three months straight.

Lots of exciting fights were on display. My favorite being the Sakara v. Vedepo fight. The slap of foot on neck could be heard above the roar of the crowd and Vedepo's stumbling before he hit the mat was epic.

Until next time.

UFC Fight Night in Omaha, NE

Good card tonight at the Civic Auditorium in Omaha, NE. For those of you who don't live in Omaha, the Civic is an old arena which was basically replaced by the new Qwest Center which holds 18,300 for concerts. The Qwest is also home to the Creighton Bluejays and holds 17,560 for basketball games.

The Civic will only seat 9,000 to 10,000 people which is why I believe the UFC decided to hold the event there instead of at the Qwest. Filling up an 18,000 seat arena for a UFC event would be a tall order for Omaha.

Review of UFC Fight Night in Omaha coming soon!

Jesus Didn't Tap

Although we all know that Jesus didn't tap, I can think of a few people who should have or did tap out recently.

Chuck Liddell
I am pretty big on Liddell and was as shocked as anyone to see him go down the way he did. In retrospect, tapping out at the start of the second round would have been in his best interests. By the way, did anyone else notice the lack of coverage they gave Liddell once he hit the ground. It appeared that Evans was in the ring all by himself after the first inital shots of Liddell on the mat. I think the UFC producers were trying to save as much face as possible for the face of the UFC.

Shawn Merriman
Shawn should have tapped during the off season or at least during training camp when he realized he couldn't go full speed. Athletes know their bodies and I'm guessing Shawn knew something wasn't right at some point last season. Tapping out after the first game of the season shows a lack of intelligence in my opinion.

Tom Brady
Tom would have been wise to tap before the first game of the season with the Chiefs. It was an ugly injury he suffered and tapping would have saved him a little pain and a lot of rehab.

The Jonas Brothers
Wearing "purity rings" is all nice and good, but if anyone believes these three guys are saving it for marriage has smoked too much of the wacky weed. If the Jonas boys aren't "tapping" all those Disney Channel hotties, they're either stupid or gay.
